Hotel and cruise accommodation are handled as one itinerary, so you do not need to arrange separate transport or bookings between the two parts of the holiday. Unlike a Hurghada beach stay, this programme adds access to pharaonic temples and river landscapes. Seven days is enough to see the highlights – Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and a Nile cruise – but not enough to go deep. You'll cover the Pyramids, the Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple, Abu Simbel, and the main Nile temples on a cruise. What you'll skip: Alexandria, Siwa Oasis, the White Desert, Dahab, and any unhurried exploration of a single site. For a first trip, 7 days is the right call; for a return visit, plan for 10–14.

Private 7-day Egypt tours start around $1,315 per person at 5-star with the Nile cruise included. Mid-range (4-star hotels, 5-star ship) runs $2,200–$3,500 per person. Premium tier (suite hotels, Oberoi or Sanctuary class ships) is $4,000–$6,500. Add 25–35% for Christmas, New Year, and US spring break weeks. International flights from the US are separate.
03Is a Nile cruise included on a 7-day Egypt tour?
Yes – the standard 7-day itinerary is Cairo → fly to Aswan → 3-night Nile cruise sailing north to Luxor (via Kom Ombo and Edfu) → Abu Simbel as a day excursion. Land-only 7-day variants exist (Cairo + Luxor hotels) but the cruise is the default for first-time visitors and what most clients book.
04When is the best time for a 7-day Egypt tour?
October through April. Daytime temperatures sit in the mid-70s°F to mid-80s°F, dry, low humidity. November to February is peak – Christmas and New Year sell out six months ahead. Spring break in March or April aligns with one of the best weather windows. We don't run 7-day southern itineraries in July or August by default – Aswan and Abu Simbel hit 105–115°F.
