Accessibility
Who can join this
This cruise involves boarding and disembarkation via gangway steps and stairs; expect 4 to 10 steps at embarkation and during some port calls. Onboard public areas include stairs between decks and some cabins accessed by a short flight of steps; a limited number of cabins may be on the lower deck with narrower doorways. Shore excursions include uneven ancient stone, cobblestones, and sand, and many temple approaches have steps and ramps that are steep or irregular. Wheelchairs are practical only on board and for river-level movement; most sites are not wheelchair-accessible without assistance. If you use a mobility aid, we can arrange a porter at embarkation and meet-and-assist at Luxor or Aswan airports, but we cannot guarantee full accessibility at archaeological sites. Please tell us about mobility needs before booking so we can advise on suitable cabins and arrange extra support where possible.

Children 0–5.99 years travel free; 6–11.99 years pay 50%; children aged 12 and above pay the full adult price. Children must share a cabin with their parents, maximum one child per cabin; two or more children require their own cabin. Strollers are practical on board but may be difficult on archaeological sites because of steps and uneven ground. Cruise cabins do not typically have cots beyond small foldaway options; please request infant equipment in advance and we will confirm availability.

How we travel here
The vessel is a river cruiser that sails between Luxor and Aswan using diesel engines typical for Nile river craft; we prioritise modern, well-maintained boats with fuel-efficient engines where available. Transfers to embarkation and disembarkation use air-conditioned minibuses with drivers employed locally. Our shore-excursion guides are locally certified Egyptologists; hire and payments are made directly to local guides and small family-run restaurants where used, so visitor spend stays in the communities visited. As a licensed Egyptian tour operator, we require suppliers to follow local waste disposal rules and to avoid single-use plastics when practical on board. Guests are asked to reuse water bottles and to respect posted guidance at archaeological sites to reduce wear on fragile areas.

LA Sarah Nile Cruise sails between Aswan and Luxor, visiting Kom Ombo, Edfu, Luxor West Bank, and Luxor East Bank. Departures are Wednesdays from Aswan and Saturdays from Luxor. We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and our Egyptologists lead all guided excursions, limited to eight guests. Full-board meals, private air-conditioned transfers, and the site entrance fees listed in the itinerary are included. The boat has panoramic windows, a sun deck, a small pool, and a lounge for evening music and folkloric shows. Unlike many mass-market cruises, our guided visits keep groups small and provide paced time at Edfu and Kom Ombo.
