Who can join this
The Nile cruiser has multiple deck levels reached by stairs and at least one set of stepladders between the promenade deck and upper sun deck, so mobility limitations may affect access to some public areas. Cabins on the main deck typically require climbing three to five steps from gangway height; some vessels offer lift access but this is not guaranteed. Shore excursions include uneven ancient stone, cobbles, narrow tomb passages and short sandy approaches at temple landings. Wheelchair users should contact us before booking so we can confirm whether a suitable cabin and shore-assistance can be arranged on the assigned vessel. We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and we coordinate ground transfers and embarkation assistance, but any final physical-access decisions rest with the cruise line and port authorities.

Children & families
Children aged 0 to 5.99 years travel free; children aged 6 to 11.99 years pay 50% of the adult fare; children aged 12 years and older pay the full adult price. Children must share a cabin with their parents, maximum one child per cabin; two or more children require their own cabin. Strollers are practical for port and hotel movement but may be inconvenient during shore excursions where there are steps and narrow temple approaches. Requests for cots or child-specific equipment should be made at booking so we can check availability with the assigned vessel and hotels.

How we travel here
The vessel is a river cruiser that sails weekly between Luxor and Aswan, using diesel engines typical of Nile passenger ships. We book air-conditioned, modern motorcoaches for any overland transfers arranged around the cruise, typically Mercedes-Benz or Toyota minibuses operated by local suppliers. We work with the same Egyptian crewed providers for years, paying standard local wages and preferring suppliers who employ Cairo and Upper Egypt staff year-round. Excursion teams are local Egyptologists and licensed boat crews hired per landing, which directs income to on-site communities. On-board recycling and water-refill stations vary by ship; we recommend bringing a reusable bottle and checking the assigned vesselâs specific amenities at booking. As a licensed Egyptian tour operator we request environmental and cultural respect at archaeological sites, including carrying out rubbish and following site staff instructions.
