Who can join this
This cruise involves boarding by gangway at the embarkation port, moving between decks by stairs, and walking on uneven quayside surfaces at some landing points. Shore excursions include surfaced paths, stepped temple entrances, exposed stone ramps and uneven tomb floors; some tombs at the Valley of the Kings have steep, narrow staircases. Wheelchair users should note that most Nile cruisers have limited lift access and cabin door widths may not suit all wheelchairs. Embarkation and disembarkation assistance is available on request, but advanced notice is required so we can arrange appropriate equipment and staff. Please contact us with details of mobility needs before booking so we can advise which cabins and excursions are feasible.

Children & families
Children 0–5.99 years travel free; children 6–11.99 years pay 50% of the adult fare; children aged 12 and above pay the full adult price. Children must share a cabin with their parents, maximum one child per cabin; two or more children require their own cabin. Strollers are practical for excursions with flat pavements but can be difficult on uneven temple approaches and inside tombs. Cruise cabins do not always have space for travel cots, so please request cot availability at booking; high chairs are provided on some vessels but cannot be guaranteed for every sailing.

How we travel here
The vessel typically uses modern diesel-powered river cruise boats, with shore transfers provided by air-conditioned minibuses hired from local suppliers. We work with the same small fleet of drivers and Egyptologists in Upper Egypt to concentrate economic benefit locally and reduce unnecessary supplier turnover. On board, single-use plastics are discouraged; bottled water is supplied in reusable dispensers where the vessel permits. Excursion schedules are planned to avoid repeat visits to the same local communities on consecutive sailings, reducing pressure on fragile sites. We encourage guests to bring refillable water bottles and to leave personal tips for guides and crew at the end of the cruise rather than in public areas.

We are a licensed Egyptian tour operator and our Egyptologists lead all guided excursions, limited to eight guests. Full-board meals, private air-conditioned transfers, and the site entrance fees listed in the itinerary are included. The boat has panoramic windows, a sun deck, a small pool, and a lounge for evening music and folkloric shows. Unlike many mass-market cruises, our guided visits keep groups small and provide paced time at Edfu and Kom Ombo.
